Scope – Protections Part 1

The person receiving the disclosure has a number of expectations for an objective and professional approach, including:

  • Protecting the Discloser’s right to remain anonymous
  • Protecting the Discloser’s right to retain the confidentiality of the disclosure
  • Obtaining sufficient, relevant, accurate and reliable information during the disclosure process
  • Providing information to the nominated party that protects anonymity and/or confidentiality of the Discloser
  • Identifying and addressing any actual or perceived conflict of interest
  • Protect the Discloser from retaliation
